Application of individual abutments in prosthetic repair with Sigma implants. Case history
Patient Mr. L., 43 y.o. Diagnosis: adentia of 16 25 26 46 47 35 36.
Photo 1. Inferior maxilla model of patient L., in the area of 47 46 36 implant Replicas Sigma are placed.
Photo 2. Oral cavity of the same patient: condition of dental arch, denture, mucous membrane in the area of lower jaw denture defect. Individual abutments in the area of previously removed 46 47 36.
Photo 3. Oral cavity of the same patient 6 months after placement of Sigma implants and arch restoration. In positions 47 46 35 36, PFM crowns with fixation on custom-shaped abutments are placed.
CONCLUSION:
1. Compared to conventional abutments, application of custom-shaped abutments significantly improves marginal seal of the crown.
2. Application of custom-shaped abutments in prosthetic repair with Sigma implants expands the opportunities of prosthesis in complex clinical situations.
